While conventional vehicle sales worldwide slowed slightly in 2022, sales of electric vehicles almost doubled to a record of more than 10 million.
The legacy auto companies underestimated demand, leaving new EVs in short supply, Drive Electric Dayton President Rap Hankins tells the Dayton Daily News.
Jim Evans, owner of Evans Auto Group in Dayton, predicts that between 20% to 25% of the BMWs he sells this year will be EVs, up from 3% in 2022, and 15% of the Volkswagens he sells will be EVs, up from 5% in 2022.
